Pecos Law Group is pleased to announce that Jack W. Fleeman, Esq. has joined the firm. Jack is a native Las Vegan and received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the UNLV Honors College. Jack attended the William S. Boyd School of Law where he graduated in the top 10% of his law school class and earned academic awards in legal research, legal drafting, and property law.
Jack has been a member of the State Bar of Nevada Family Law Section since 2007, and was a regular participant at the Ely Family Law Section Conference even before he graduated from law school. Since graduation, Jack has gained extensive experience in the area of family law and will continue practice primarily in the area of contested family court litigation.
Before becoming licensed in Nevada to practice law, Jack worked for several years at a local ambulance company as an Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate (EMT-I), American Heart Association certified CPR and First Aid Instructor, and Quality Assurance Specialist. As a Quality Assurance Specialist and EMT-I, Jack was responsible for the review and analysis of hundreds of emergency patient care reports each week. Upon analysis of the reports, Jack provided feedback, remedial training, and education to field personnel. Jack’s background in the medical field has given him invaluable skills and insight to deal with cases involving parties and children with physical and mental health issues.
In addition to his work for firm clients, Jack has also donated his time to pro bono work. Jack has served as a Truancy Diversion Court Judge with the Clark County School District, and represents foster children as a Children’s Advocacy Project (CAP) attorney through the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. This year, in an effort to get other attorneys to take pro bono family law cases, Jack is donating his time to teach non-family law attorneys on the subjects of alimony and attorney’s fees.
When away from office, Jack appreciates spending time and travelling with his wife and three children. In his free time, Jack also enjoys hiking, kayaking, and golf.
