FORMER HUSBAND ORDERED TO SECURE ALIMONY OBLIGATION
In a recent unpublished order the Nevada Supreme Court upheld the family court judge who refused to reduce a former husband’s alimony obligation and ordered that the former husband deposit $450,000.00 into a trust account to secure his future alimony obligation. The supreme court affirmed the family court judge’s finding that the former husband “purposefully sought ways and means to avoid his alimony obligation . . . [by] transferring all of his assets into spendthrift trusts and creating myriad of corporate entities to filter millions of dollars through, though all the while enjoying the benefits of the same.”
